Seven races, one mountain, two days.
Most mountain events ask you to pick a discipline. This one doesn't. Saturday belongs to the bikes, with the Epic and the shorter Mini Epic. Sunday belongs to the runners, from a 52km ultra down to a 5km and a canicross you can enter with your dog. Every course runs through the same highland country above the Ambuklao reservoir in Bokod, Benguet.
Enter one race. Or ride Saturday and run Sunday, and go for The Crown.

On the Epic, two short stretches don't allow riding, one at 14.6km and one at 52km. They're 70 meters each, so you'll push through both.
The Crown
Finish Saturday's Cordillera Epic and Sunday's 52km ultra, and you've taken The Crown. Two disciplines, two days, one mountain, no recovery week in between.
It's the hardest way through this weekend, and it's the only reason some people come.

Getting there.
Baguio is the gateway city. Buses and vans run the route from Baguio toward Kabayan and Nueva Vizcaya, and they will drop you near the start.
Come the day before. Nothing leaves Baguio early enough to put you at the line for the gun start.

- The Baguio Slaughter House compound on the map, and Dangwa Station on Magsaysay Avenue on the map.
- Departures
- Buses and vans leave from 6am to 6pm.
- Where to get off
- Ask to be dropped at Adunut Bridge. You can also get off at Skyer's Store, which is the entry to the river path that leads to the starting line.
- Getting back
- Wait by the road for a bus or van coming from Kabayan or Nueva Vizcaya. They pass about every hour.

Before you enter.
Ambuklao is high country above the Agno River, a few hours north of Manila by way of Baguio. Pine ridges, terraced slopes, and the reservoir sitting in the middle of all of it. December mornings here are genuinely cold.
